New police uniform out in force

Powerful, solid and yes at times intimidating.

Victoria Police’s new darker blue (nearly black) uniform is bringing a New York feel to the streets.

Chief Commissioner Key Lay and his command team have been wearing the new look since last week and it’s to be followed by the recent graduates before the rest of the force switches over.

The new uniform offers a more structured image that presents a sharper more coherent message from the past look.

It’s guarenteed to let the bad guys know that when it comes to powerful first impressions, watch out.

Constable Elizabeth Tonkin and Senior Sergeant Andrew Falconer model the new uniforms that Victoria Police will adopt later this year.
